How to mirror to a TCL TV

Confirm the pair can work

Find your phone in the table above. If it says Not over Wi-Fi, stop here - no app or setting will change that, and the fix is an adapter or a Chromecast.

Open mirroring on the TCL

Google TV: no setup needed. Roku TV: Settings, System, Screen mirroring.

Then start from the phone

Same Wi-Fi network and same band on both. Several brands only advertise themselves once mirroring is already open on the TV, which is why scanning first so often finds nothing.

If your phone is not compatible

There is no software fix for a missing protocol. Both of these are more reliable than wireless mirroring anyway.

Which Android phones can mirror to a TCL TV?

Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO, OPPO / realme / vivo, Tecno / Infinix / itel can mirror to a TCL TV over Wi-Fi. Google Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, Huawei / HONOR can on some TCL models but not others, because the brand ships more than one TV platform.

TCL sells both Roku TVs and Google TVs under the same brand, often on the same shelf. The Roku models are Miracast-only and the Google models are Cast-first. The model number, not the badge on the box, decides whether your phone will work. If your phone and TV do share a protocol, the next things to check are that both are on the same Wi-Fi network and the same band, and that the network is not a guest network with client isolation switched on.
